Children's Program, 2- 3 PM, Saturday 31^th January

We have an extremely talented and enthusiastic local Bengali Community in the Greater Houston area. To be able to accommodate as many participants as possible and give them an appreciative platform to showcase their talents, we would like to propose the following rules.

Program Rules:

 ‡ First preference to the kids who are not performing in any other program;
 ‡ Group items will be given preference than Solos. We have only a few slots reserved for Solo performances and they will be allotted on a first come first served basis.
 ‡ Performance time slot will be based on age of performing group
  • Group aged 6-10 yrs: Maximum 5 minutes
  • Group aged 10-16 yrs: Maximum 6 minutes
  • Group aged 16+ yrs: Maximum 7 minutes
 ‡ Please adhere strictly to the time limit.
 ‡ Duplication of songs is not recommended.
 ‡ All dance groups will need to give a CD with the final music to the cultural coordinator at least 24 hrs before the final show- Please label the CD with the name of song and person responsible for the item.
 ‡ Multiple items by the same group will not be permitted on the same day.
 ‡ Please make sure that your item is age appropriate and conforms to the cultural values of our community.
